Last week I released the GReader-Checker and GReader extensions for Safari. Both have been amazingly popular. I’ve had over 10,000 downloads for them.
Today is a big milestone for both of these extensions because it finally does what many have long requested. You can now open Google Reader directly in the current tab if it is on a blank page or Top Sites. Special thanks to Nicholas Helke (@nHelke on Twitter) for his patch, for without it, we’d still be with the extra tab.
